Hi Bud, You can run DeFrag right now. If it won't complete the task it will ask you to run ScanDisk before trying again. You should be fine. It will speed things up considerably - you'll think you bought a faster processor! It looks for fragments of files that get scattered around the drive while you are working with the computer. It gathers all those loose ends and puts them all in one spot. That way, your computer need only look in one spot for the data rather than searching all over the place for little bits of it.
