Funny, though, that all the Wall Street firms that were advising people to hold on or buy in the aftermath of 11 September ended up giving very good advice.

Of course, you won't see any of them telling people to sell today, but anyone who depends on Wall Street for sell advice doesn't think too much in the first place.

Tim, <You folks can't _handle_ the truth.>

Some of us can. Please don't get upset at those who can't. At the very least, you can put them on Ignore, just like those who don't like what you say can do the same.

I just have to chime in and say I am glad to see you back. I have enjoyed your inputs here. I can't believe that some on this thread have to rehash any of this. It strikes me as a provocation.

Tim, Re: "You folks can't _handle_ the truth. You're as bad as the Maniban and his Jerryhad ragheads."

Give me a f*cking break. You are so out in left field, it's laughable. And your ability to judge character reminds me of the same people you are trying to condemn.

I thought you might be sympathetic with someone who gave you the benefit of the doubt (as I tried to do), but I guess the only thing you are is path-etic.

Take a long walk off a short pier. Your twisted views and biases are not appreciated, and not welcomed. I'll now take advantage of my freedom on this forum, and put your sorry a$$ on ignore.

Re: several of you wussninnies who bleat about how rude people are...as you slide the knife in.

You sound like a wife who has been cheated on. Come back when you have a phallus and can take criticism like an intelligent member of civilized society. Lashing out at _everyone_ around you is a sure-fire sign of psychosis. If you flatter yourself a Nietzsche, try not to behave in his post-1888 mindset.

Tim - I did pretty well with my "patriotic buy" although that was not my intention. I'm up 30% on the stuff I picked up in the first week of trading after the 911 events.

But I really did do it as a gesture, about the only thing I could do to make some kind of statement.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But you can hardly call your position patriotic. Prudent maybe... or pragmatic. But patriotism is often about doing something that obviously works against your personal interest for the gain of others, or in support of an abstract principle. The latter in my case.
