True story: A coworker of mine has worked many years in Arab countries, two of them in Algeria. At that time, he had his residence in Spain, and commuted back and forth on a 3-week rotation, using the Algerian airline. One of the things he detested the most about his life was having to ride in those airplanes: There was always an elbow-to-elbow rush to board the plane and get a seat--through the gate, down the jetway, into the cramped, dirty, stinking plane. People pushed each other. Most had not bathed in many days. The penetrating odor of pungent colognes was inescapable. In the lavatory of the plane, there was a dispenser of strong cologne--another source of stench. He had a 'bright' idea! He emptied the dispenser, pouring the cologne in the sink. He then urinated in the dispenser and replaced it.
