In the meantime, my sardines are paying a nice dividend.
CBF.UN just started trading today, already 800,000 shares, I sure hope that this unit has a fridge to keep all that herring.

Stan you gotta learn to ignore Peter as he thinks his way is the only way. He is by his own admission tied heavily into these trusts and as the average one is down over 30% since May/June of this year and many are down over 25% from there price 5 years ago (examples: pgf.un price Nov 1996 $18.00 closed yesterday $15.05 -NCF.un Nov 1996 $20.00 yesterday $12.82).

The buy and hold mentality has been foisted on us by the mutual fund industry as it is in there best interests. If he wants to look for them there are studies out there that totally contradict the buy and hold and show that investors using an asset allocation model even a simple one whereby they keep equities and bonds in a 60/40 ratio which forces them to TRADE (selling stocks at high prices and vice versa) obtain far superior returns to buy and FOLD (sorry thats a mis type but unfortunately that is what most unsophisticed investors do who follow his strategy.

If anyone has the figures I would love to see the following. PGF.un has been highly regarded as one of the better trusts and it would be interesting to see what there share price was going back to inception and then what the total payback has been?

Sold my PWI at higher prices. The distributions I have missed since don't even come close to covering the
decrease that has taken place in the unit prices, so don't give me any crap about how I'm suffering.

------------- Please indicate the post where you stated at what price you bought at so we can verify with the historical pricing data. And the post where you indicated a sell at higher prices.-------------------------------

The arithetic is undeniable. Your refusal to acknowledge it totally escapes me, as it does most people on this board judging by the messages in my Inbox.

----------- Show the posts the numbers and the verification and we will see how undeniable it is------------------------------------------

Also, I never said NG was going to $1,

-------------- Look to your own posts # 1612 and # 1596.
""" What do you think things will be trading for if NG starts to approach a buck at Empress? You're not going to want to be long, I can tell you that.'''''''
"""" NG will go lower, maybe a lot lower, before it goes higher"""""""
You should not put into record such things they will come back to haunt you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!---------------------

but I did say many moons ago when NG was much higher that it was going
down, and I was quite right. I acted accordingly at the time and I'm much better off for having done so.

------- Again please provide the posts that verify this. YOU WONT. And just check what price the ngas was at at the time of that post (1612 + 1596) and just what lower and a lot lower would equate to------------------------

Furthermore, I was never short

--------Look to the above posts of yours above again """""You're not going to want to be long, I can tell you that.'''''''
----------------------
And while we're on the topic, although NG has recently stabilized, I'm still not bullish on energy as we head into the teeth of a recession.

-------Stabilized who are you kidding they have soared from to below $2 CDN (early Oct) to over $3.50 CDN now ---------

That's JMHO in case you need to be reminded, as you may be surprised to learn that this thread is not your personaldomain and that SI was designed for a free exchange of opinions.

------- Sorry but opinions mean nothing if you can't or won't back them up with real data.-------------------

You seem much more interested in wanting to claim that you are right than in making money and increasing your networth. When you make the kinds of statements you did in #1793, it reveals you have a completely closed mind on thissubject.

Maybe you just know that you're a lousy trader and therefore can't do it,

-------- Look to the documented evidence of my postings regarding my plays on the rights and the warrants. Posts # 1277 #1260 #1244 #1213 and more prior. Real time documented evidence of trades in excess of 100% and 400%. Enough said about that.--------------------------

or perhaps you require a kind of denial mindset to cope with life, but shutting out everything contrary won't make you right, it doesn't work for most other people, and it doesn't make you a very smart investor IMO.

-------- I ask for real data, real proof to any and all of your claims. YOU PROVIDE NOTHING. So again for the third time in this post PROVIDE SOME. ------------------------
