yup- didnt expect anything less from MSFT and IM sure it will be a non event.. I just feel XP will fall far short of expectations..

The xbox on the other hand I think is going to be really hot.. Thats not why I love NVDA tho..

As for NVDA being an indicator of PC sales- IM just telling it like it is.. I mean, they do sell low end cards to OEM and so its not a bad question to ask them, but I was just putting some water on your thinking because you made it sound as tho they were THE best source for this information and I dont believe that to be true..

NVDA is seeing huge demand for its product alright.. the g3, both old and new (titanium)..

Microsoft also issued a press release today that demand for XP upgrades was strong.

Of course they did, they also would not quantify any sales figures to support their release.

Most feedback on XP from professional developers has been luke warm to quite negative. I don't think you'll see any great rush for people to upgrade or replace existing systems.
