The AMD Modus Operandi reminds me an awful lot like the old Soviet space program. They were able to deliver a bigger payload with a lot less resources than the US program. The underdog has the advantage of looking at your feasibility studies, proofs of concept, road map and then take a lot of short cuts and get there before you do.

Say what you want, but Jerry Sanders is a very formidable competitor. At the same time Jerry Sanders is his own worst enemy.

Craig Barrett has to be aware of the Jerry Sanders Factor and must include the JSF into his strategic thinking.
