John: A bunch of folks with their head in the sand. Makes me sad. I'm especially disappointed in McMannis, Joe, TCD, Chuckles, and Albert. Most of the others I expected would be more comfortable having their facts and opinions go unchecked. Those guys I thought would want truth more than preservation of ego.

Do you honestly think the reason those guys voted to ban Paul was because they didn't want to hear dissenting opinions?!?

You've gotta be kidding! Dissenting opinions are actually very welcome from a vast majority on this thread - it's the petty trolling, constant abusive tone and down-right mean-spiritedness that makes people want to kick Paul off the thread.

OT"I'm especially disappointed in McMannis, Joe, TCD, Chuckles, and Albert"

I carefully weighed my decision to vote for Paul's suspension because I just plain got tired of his 'act'. Too much meanness, crudeness, taunting, etc. The percentage of his posts that actually meant anything reached pitiful levels. It was only when his departure was almost assured that he resumed a somewhat acceptable level of information in his posts.

I think I would apply the 'Steve Howe Test' to Paul's situation here. After Howe's 7 or 8 drug suspensions from baseball, it was only when he couldn't perform that he had to leave baseball. Baseball was clearly too forgiving. After three prior bannings, you'd think Paul would learn. Unfortunately, he didn't. I think Mani showed great restraint to alter the punishment to two months rather than permanent.

I personally don't want this thread to be viewed as an AMD Cheerleader's forum, the contrary views are very much appreciated here. I am disappointed that Paul's fondness for deviant behavior was stronger than his desire to make a meaningful contribution to this thread.

Enough said ... actually too much. Thank you for your patience.

CB

John: "If you speak the truth, have a foot in the stirrup."

Now tell me Paul Engel being "Al Jazeerah" of the Mod-AMD-thread! LOL

John,

I guess you don't see (or refuse to see) that there is a difference between expressing a dissenting opinion and being a heckler.

The line between the 2 is not clear cut. People can have different opinions on the subject.

There probably were a few people who voted for the suspension/ban who want this thread to be only for AMD investors. But I think a clear majority welcomes well reasoned dissenting opinions from Intel investors.
