Next, the question of "fair" and "reasonable". Do you suggest the gov't tell RAmbus what is fair and reasonable? The royalty percentage should not be a question. They ask for X%. No company wants to pay royalties to one company and this is simliar to the Qualcomm situation...

Let's face it.. Rambus does not have to license anyone. Of course, they chose to license instead of manufacture their own RDRAM.

This is, excuse me, an utter nonsense. To manufacture
anything they would need several billion $$$ to build
the fab, get thousands employees, all associated infrastructure, priceless years of experience, with all
risks associated with making a real product.
They "choose" to sell vapor of course <g>
