Sounds on the surface like good news.

However, one must consider that the retreat may strategic in nature. Given the new emphasis on the nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, the abandoned stronghold could be a suckers trap designed to wipe out Northern Alliance troops.

Hopefully, the area will be checked and sanitized.

GC is purely a European-American gentleman's agreement
it was not honored within the US-Japan theatre during WW2
it has never been relevant in MiddleEast or West Asian conflicts
or any conflict in Asia, for that matter
