Not if that group is predicated on a suicidal assumption.

Al Quida seems to be a malignant organization by any civilized standard. Ninety-nine percent of their congregation appear to be uneducated criminals who kill, kidnap, and deal drugs. To consider that organization "spiritual" is ludicrous, unless by "spiritual" you are referring to alcohol.

Unfortunately, for the last ten years the US has been under the "moral" leadership of William Jefferson Clinton, who provided the Jihad with a behavioral definition of immorality that borders on Satinesque.

Ask yourself the following -- How did the Muslim world respond to Clinton screwing Lewinsky with a cigar while top representative of the PA awaited audience in the next room? What did they feel when Clinton lobbed missiles at aspirin factories and tents to divert attention from his lies and escapades? How did they perceive Clinton's behavior when it was excused, and even applauded by the Congress of the United States, by many of the press, and by your TB for that matter? Complete with visuals, courtesy of CNN who piped that crap to the world in a real-time stream. Seems to me it would have been an easy sell for any "Islamist" to label the US the "Great Satin."

Call it Clinton bashing if you will, but those were the facts. Unfortunately, we have to live with the fecal-tainted Clinton legacy and accept as fact that we cannot set the clock back to better times.

The ideal solution might be education, but there is no time for education.

I would argue that any strategy predicated upon the assumption that al Quida thugs, or any terrorists for that matter, are rational, logical, and reasonable individuals (by civilized standards) is folly.

A medical analogy raises the question, should we make it clear that we will deal with these folks as one deals with any other malignancy that is metastasizing -- with chemo, surgical excision, and radiation therapy?
