Jerome/G,

The prices are incredible....only thing is that by the time it ships later this month I know prices will be lower and they will be offering even better promos with their systems. That is the little voice in the back of your head which you must overcome before pressing the "Submit" button. But buying a boxed copy of WinXP in the store would be $106(w/ taxes) alone, and I am not even sure I have enough space on my HD for a new OS to run smoothly.

Regards,

Brian....supportin' the cause

.... I just got my new Dell Catalog and could not believe how much computer $1000.00 buys (w/O monitor)...

I've got this link that leads to daily Dell specials.
pw2.netcom.com
Today they are advertising double memory for free (Offer expires 11/14/01).

Disclaimer: I get 2% if you use that link(I guess Dell likes to reward us for helping others?). I've put many links on that page for sites I and friends use regularly as the rebates or commissions are kind of nice and I like to have the links in a handy place. I re-order my Consumer Reports there every other year with the 2 yr option for $39.

Two cyber friends have used the link just recently and reported great results.

I've been recommending Dell mostly for their great customer service and tech support as well as the 1 yr in home warranty. I took a box back to a small shop (heavy SJ Merc advertiser at the time) once only to have the shop go under... Had to resort to getting the San Jose Mercury News and the owners parents involved to get my friend's PC back! Then there is dealing with Fry's tech support where I sent in one box for a repair and it came back worse then when it went in after several weeks! I still have significant HWP stock and wish I could recommend their systems.... but they just don't score as high on customer support over the phone.
