chartwiznyc,

I have a few questions regarding daytrading the ES e-mini:

Do you have some sort of mechanical (or mostly mechanical) trading system?

How many trades does your system make per week?

What is the win percentage?

Do you have some sort of fixed price level to exit a profitable trade or do you use a trailing stops?

Right now I would say my system trades 2 or 3 times per week and wins about 50%, but wins more per trade on average than it loses to make the overall system profitable. My experience with stop loss levels is that they don't make the system more profitable, but they can reduce the drawdown. I've had no success with taking profits at predetermined prices, so I always exit by trailing stop or by market order at the close.
