Dave, "Patents are granted for novel, or non-obvious, products or processes. Consideration is not given to a patent with regards to commercial applicablity" So true. However, I do not recall anyone making those non-obvious Rambus-I memories for PCs. So what grounds does Rambus have to sue manufacturers for making old-fashion memories? (I guess the answer is in the Court decision already) "Still, I believe that the decision will not effect Rambus alone, but any company who will attempt to assert their IP in court." It may be for good. The decision could help to differentiate "quality IP" against "imitation IP". - Ali
