I still like DYN's prospects. I would not hold the ENE shares though cause if the deal falls through ENE is chapter 11.

DYN has a great opportunity and it looks like they are grabbing it. Of course there is risk and in the short term there can be hipcups but if DYN management knows what its doing they should be able to assimilate the trading operations. I think DYN was able to evaluate the business and they left an out if the unknows prove to be more than they bargained for.

I get the impression (I can be DEAD WRONG) that DYN management evaluated the risk / reward. Even if the deal falls through by the time it does one would think DYN will be able to take over most of ene's trading.

John:

Well I do like the storage sector. I discovered QLGC when they were kind enough to acquire ANCR. That started me researching EMLX, BRCD, JNIC and the rest.

Since I feel we retest the September lows I’ve been on the sidelines for the past two weeks or so. I haven’t picked a reentry point on the stocks and will more so wait for a panic day in the markets.

Just some random thoughts.

Both QLGC and MCDT appear to be taking market share from BRCD in the switch space.

QLGC is #2 behind EMLX in HBA fabric switches and this space is growing next year.

My only worry with EMLX (@ the moment since @ some point fiber channel can become outdated and all of these companies would be toast) is @ some point they may acquire a switch company like MCDT, ZOOX, or Vixel.

My gripe with QLGC is they report “pro forma” revenues for the ANCR/SUNW warrant deal.

MCDT has had two recent wins with CPQ and CSCO which indicates BRCD is losing market share. This is why MCDT is now on my radar screen. I have not invested in it in the past but will allocate some here on the next pullback.

For a risk play I threw some $$ @ ZOOX between 95 cents and $1.05. Another storage switch company competing against BRCD, MCDT and the rest.
