Mish...you are probably correct about what you said sadly and I'm not disputing the market being overbought at this time. I pay attention to your posts and feel they are quite appropriate and your calls fair....but what I object to, on certain boards is the attitude that if you are either long or short, and the poster is not finding his trade going the correct way, such posters start to label( in this case for the past months the shorters) "idiots" "lemmings" etc. What I am trying to point out really is the ignorance of such bantering because it really helps noone and its unprofessional. Believe me...I go long AND short, but when I feel the charts or time is indicating to me. Its not a case of us against them, just the ability to "trade" the market and not fall in love with our positions. But I can't help laugh when I read such stubborness because its going to kill you in this market. Granted....yes, this market doesn't make sense sometimes, but I'm not here to try and make sense of it all (sounds kinda wierd)on a fundamental basis. All I can do is "trade" the market the best I can. That means IMO....trying to "objectively" analyze my positions and if they don't go my way..taking my lumps and move on. Of course we have all been hammered by the stubborness of our convictions and who knows...for some people they eventually work out their way "over time".

Anyway..I don't want to go on a rant here it just seems very difficult to convince a biased trader about how he should remain flexible to what the market wants to do. I don't give a rats' ass which way...I can only hope that I'm on that train when the time comes. And as far as shorting this market...believe me..I'll be right there with you hopefully. Its time will come...just have to be patient and trade the trends...of course this is IMO only.

All the best,

TraderXx

Will the person who bought JNPR at 50 be selling here. 90% unlikely. Will that person give back 85% of those profits(as in reduced losses) and more.
Most likely.

The person who bought JNPR at 200+ will never get even.>>>>>

mish, this is bear crying, there is no institutional or intelligient money (or maybe even dumb money) in the market that is hoping to get back to even from those levels, they captitulated LONG AGO.

the flush into 9/21 squared the books.
