OT/All Mt Ski. Massive legalized bribery aka

the current system of financing political campaigns has a lot to do with it. And any effort to change it gets the quick brush off in Congress.

America is the best place in the world to live. But during the past 10-15 yrs, our central government has degenerated into something a lot closer to the corrupt elites that rule other nations.

Have to wonder how much worse it will get. There is a lot to this new anti-terrorist law that has nothing to do with terrorists and a lot to do with increasing central government power at the expense of the Constitution.

I'm as staunch conservative and voted for Bush. But am very concerned about this law and the way it was handled. The final version of the law was rammed through the House/Senate conference by Ashcroft with many new powers that go far beyond combating terrorism and most members of congress didn't even have time to read it before they were rushed into a final vote!!

IMO we could be headed for real trouble in the years ahead.
