Actually, Ken, the opposite is true. Big Business fraud is more insidious than government waste. An individual worker/individual investor is burned much more severely when his company (1) engages in what amounts to corporate gambling and (2) employs creative accounting practices to cover such. Joe Worker/Joe Investor stands to lose thousands of dollars, possibly his job as well, because of corporate mismanagement/fraud/gambling.

Government waste, on the other hand, although distasteful, doesn't impact on a worker or shareholder the way private enterprise waste does.

I also would point out that government fraud/waste also is punished ... by American voters instead of by the markets. Big Business fat cats who ruin a company can risk doing so because they are guaranteed multimillion-dollar severance packages.
