Applied Materials (AMAT) 40.71 -0.09: -- Update -- Reports Q4 net of $0.03 a share, $0.01 worse than the Multex consensus, vs yr-ago EPS of $0.77. Sales fell 57% to $1.26 bln (mean $1.255 bln). New orders down 69% to $1.1 bln (Salomon Smith Barney est was $1.2 bln).

I am not sure, we had too many premarkets mark up recently, it is time for a low opening anyhow, and AMAT may provide the excuse.
