isopatch,

Some of these oil companies and drillers are not far away from where they were trading when oil was $10 in 1998. There was a throw up at the bottom when Wall Street started talking about $5 oil. We are starting to hear that OPEC is blowing up so maybe the institutional investor will act irrationally and sell at any price.

I have not bought yet, but I am watching things closely.

I notice the shorts are getting killed in the metals patch. <g>

Could be a big boost for the airline and transportation stocks.

Btw, the OSX is up almost 50% from its lows of late September. A consolidation was to be expected.

>Beyond that? Imagine having Hillary for your Senator?! E GAD !!!<

LOL- Well, they elected her. They get the government they deserve. <g>

As for oil price- I wonder how much is due to the warm weather. It has been Very mild here so far this fall. Temps in the low 70's expected this weekend. I usually have put my bicycle up for the year by now- but it looks like I'll be able to ride clear thru november.

The great thing about oil stocks is their hedge value. If the price of gas, heating oil etc. goes up- it's not so bad, if you're holding the stocks. If the price goes down- it's not good for the stocks, but your expenses for energy go down. Now if I can just get that ST timing down. <g>

Looks like some support in the 19 and 17 areas, then more solid support at the '94 lows around 14.

If crude breaks down here- the CRB should fall thru multi-yr. lows with it. That spells trouble- with a capital D, and that stands for Deflation. <g>
