AMAT getting the torture treatment today. From listening to CC, they don't see the bottom yet. CEO and CFO are very depressing with tone of voice.

<Car sales> Heard on the radio in So. Florida from one of the region top dealers (not some ultra-scummy outfit) "We don't care if you've EVER had bad credit. 0% financing for 60 months. $78 dollar a month gets you, blah, blah.." Unreal. Any business can jack sales temporarily if they give away the store, and lower their credit standards. This is not good business. (except for the repo man, as you alluded) Next year, the 2 main drivers of this "surge" in economic activity (auto and home re-fi's) are likely going to be weak, or at least weaker....what's "driver" (pun intended) is gonna take up the (demand) slack with thousands of layoffs still to come? When you find out, let me know, will ya'? ng
