opec has been given notice that their strangehold on oil production and prices in coming to an end. russia's emergence as a top tier oil exporting country will change the oil equation for good. wouldn't it be nice if we enetered in a long term arrangement with russia to supply us with crude (maybe a pipeline from siberia to alaska) at a stipulated price and let the terrorism exporting countries like saudi arabia scramble to get whatever they can for their oil..if they can't sell oil they can't very well finance their terrorist activities, can they?

George,

The breakdown in oil doesn't look like it's going to end soon. Note bearish divergence in RS since 1999. jmho
