"But despite the conventional wisdom that the United States is close to or in a recession, evidence shows that a major recovery is already underway"

When the recovery does happen, how do you suppose the left will give the credit to Clinton?

Re: "U.S. Recession Over Before It Began"

Jobs lost because of economic slowdown in just the PAST TWO DAYS:

-- VF Corp. (Lee jeans) ... 13,000 workers to lose jobs.
-- Burlington Industries ... announced bankruptcy ... many of its 11,000 workers to lose jobs.
-- Citgroup ... 7,800 jobs to be cut
-- Novell ... 1,400 jobs to be cut
-- Providian Financial ... 700 jobs to be axed
-- Yahoo ... 420 people to be laid off
-- Findlay (Ohio) Industries ... 300 workers lose jobs.

Somebody needs to tell these 34,620 workers that Happy Days Are Here Again. I don't think they got the message, Mr. Cummings.
