Hey... I never heard that SI is having any trouble! Is it even true? Well, if it is true, the answer is NOT to charge more for folks who post... its to (1) get all the advertising revenue you can, and (2) charge more for folks who want to read. Seriously, its the high quality of posting on this board that makes SI an attractive place to visit... and I believe there are quite a few outsiders who don't post (contribute) and who don't pay a dime, yet they come back here repeatedly to view the posts for free. Frankly, I never understood why SI allows non-members to read the posts for free. If SI needs $$$ to stay operational, they should simply stop allowing non-paying members (other than those of us who are grandfathered in, of course:-) to read the posts for free. This would cause the (paying) membership to grow and would also probably cause the number of posts to grow as well. Rob
