"During World War II" and that terrain has been covered already. It was a sound idea to relocate Jews and anyone else who wanted to go to Palestine to get away from that nut in Europe. It was a mistake to seize the opportunity to create a state and flood the Mandate with anyone who could make a half hearted claim to be a Jew (including atheists and a folks with a bankroll). I do not agree with you that America is or should be a Christian country. Folks can claim to be anything they like, but there are standards and I do not have to believe them.
