i don't think that's the way it works. when it comes to athwiper, durong and amdroid it is a matter of first ammendment and thought police.

More evidence of ROBUST Pentium 4 sales. xbitlabs.com SiS to Speed Up Production? [8:48 pm] Despite all the problems with the relatively limited production capacities, SiS keeps increasing the production of its potentially promising SiS645 chipset for Pentium 4 processors. And they are doing it really fast, we should say. Look here. According to Digitimes, in September the company shipped 100 thousand chipsets, in October – 200 thousand, and during the remaining two months SiS is going to sell 700 thousand SiS645 chipsets! Moreover, 500 thousand out of this quantity will be shipped within the remaining 6 weeks! No wonder that the mainboard manufacturers go on announcing new SiS645 based mainboards. So, it looks as if these mainboards were about to appear really in retail, which is a very pleasing fact. Especially, since this extreme activeness of SiS’ pushed VIA to launch their faster Pentium 4 chipset version. Of course, the attitude to the launching of P4X266A is twofold. However, frankly speaking, the competition among the manufacturers has never been too disturbing for the customers. The only thing we regret sincerely, is the manufacturers’ striving for getting a new solution at the as low expense as possible. But there is not much you can do about it. There are two ways possible: to be as slow as SiS or to rush ahead of time as VIA. In both cases, there are highs and lows. Yeah, there is one more way: to deal with a different memory type and to slow down the entire industry taking advantage of your leadership in the market :-)
