But the enemies we need to be concerned with aren't Afghanis, for the most part, and many aren't in Afghanistan. Those that are & survive will be finding a
new haven when/if Afghanistan becomes inhospitable for them.
There are terrorists & would-be terrorists in many places.
There are also the people that advocate & fund terrorism as well.
Continuing to hunt all these people down everywhere is the task that I fear America doesn't have the heart for.

I would disagree that American's don't have the heart to hunt down the evil sponsors of terrorism. The issue is more of reality, cost and logistics. No matter how much commitment we put into finding those responsible, there are simply too many places in the world that one can hide. There are many ways to hide, especially if one is willing to sacrifice "comfort" and forego their family ties. I believe the ego of most of the terrorists will get in their way of hiding. They want to be seen as a fighting force, doing all they can in the name of their jihad, so it may be difficult for them to swallow their pride while trying to dodge those who hunt them.

I don't believe that the US will sacrifice it's integrity just to hunt down every tangent associated with these terrorist organizations. There may be battles that won't be fought for "other reasons" (too numerous is the list of potential issues encompassing this concept to list them here). At the same time, we will do everything in our power to "fight the good fight" and to hunt down every lead possible. We must take note of the countries who prevent us from following up leads and we should carefully gauge how we deal/interact with these countries in the future.
