I moved from Australia. I don't think they had a code pertaining to dryer installations, and if they did, no one really followed them.

So that explains why i never it saw anything like this before !

And I meant to say vaccum is filled from outdoors. Since the air is thrown out.....the placement of the dryer along the window had always made me curious, I didn't think the vaccum was a big thing, but now that shootie mentiones it, we have a fireplace which almost, almost touches the laundry room, and the vaccum would have pulled the CO in....
