Oh, I don't know. Insurance and happenstance in this country makes every one in a million issue turn into a matter of code. In my home it would be patently ridiculous for this or for that, but the code states I must do it this way so it gets done that way. There are a lot of weird code issues that apply to unusual layouts but get spread across all. Australia may be more sensible about it. Then as well, were I to change my layout significantly, this code or that may indeed apply. So adhering to code is never a bad thing. Anyway, don't thank me. This conversation has just reminded me that I have to call in an Inspection Service on Monday for some commercial property I am buying December 1st. Gas heat. If it were not for this exchange I might have blown myself up.
