Chip....don't a lot/some hedge fund models work off the Fed model? If so, when earnings don't come thru, and interest rates go up (good possibly), those models get skewed from "buy" to "sell"..

Buffett, of course, uses a variation

I thought, though, previous questions to you were related to overbought (vs. overvalued)...

Of course, I do not root for a Bin Laden event, but I would say the markets have turned quite bullish (apparently) that this episode is drawing to an end, and I believe that full optimism (short-term) is an overreaction, and, I would beg to differ. In the long run, we will win...because freedom always wins (in the long run)
