"You need to make your own timing decisions."

I know. I ask other people's opinions when I have the opportunity! (smile)

It looks like we are at the top of the trading range and IMHO we will trade in a range of about 16 to 22 for awhile going forward.

I've been off SI for the last week and a half due to computer problems. I made the error of installing XP over 98 in my Dell XPS R400 computer. Since I was running an Alcatel DSL modem on it my computer crashed big time after installing XP on it.

If anyone wants to install XP over an existing operating system be very, very careful. I ran the diagnostic before installing XP and it warned that Alcatel Speed DSL modem and associated software was not compatible. It sure wasn't!!!! Since a lot of hardware is not yet supported by XP compatible drivers I would recommend waiting at least a few more months before installing XP. A lot of very recent and even new hardware is not yet compliant with XP.

I'm currently running a Toshiba cable modem on AT&T Broadband Cable and getting that to work on XP was a struggle. Toshiba's beta drivers for XP were only released about three weeks ago and then I found that AT&T was also behind the curve. Their drivers are still not Microsoft XP certified as of this date.

The result is I took my computer to CompUSA and bought a 40 Gig Maxtor drive for $99 and they installed it for free. Then I had them partition the new drive with XP installed separately. The old drive is still there with my old programs on it in FAT32.

The machine which is three years old now really screams!!!

I've bought a number of Dell computers over the years but will probably not buy another one. They do not support machines after about 3 years especially when Microsoft comes out with a new operating system in the interim!

This hardware engineer has started becoming a software engineer by default...Grrrrrr.

P.S. I paid the price of being an "early adaptor"!
