Exactly. One of the possible ways to implement stronger security is via a national ID card. I'm not advocating them. My point is only that it makes no sense to have ID cards for non-citizens ONLY. If citizens don't have them, it does no good for aliens to have them in terms of access to the stuff that can do us harm. We either need to use ID cards for citizens or nobody. ID cards for non-citizens only serve no purpose. As far as ID cards are concerned, it's either citizens or no one. Those are the choices.

The problems we face in this country are vast, and it's going to take all citizens everywhere in America to put their thinking caps on and see if they can be helpful with ideas on how and what we can all do to help....

I agree. We have to participate, not just leave things to designated officials. That's quite a culture shift.
