It's a noble mission for him.
Obviously we see it differently.
It's a religious war for him.
Obviously we'd like to cast it in a different light.
Killing civilians is a tried and true terrorist (and military) action. Remember Nagasaki and Hiroshima? The Bombing of Dresden? The Battle of Britain? We could go on and on and on. Demoralizing the enemy by attacking civilians is as old as humanity. Sad, but true.
