The business behind the business; Bob you said; I think that money (less of it nowadays) can still be made running a decent stock message board, but I'm convinced that not only does INSP have no interest in doing so, they lack the ability to do so. I say; Show me a message board that makes money……..and I can show you many message board sites that have swallowed billions of dollars trying to make a profit. So why does INSP continue SI? The answer is…..SI is a Circus, Side Show Barker for INSP’s e-commerce division. SI content in not key here anymore. Quantity IS but has been is waning (according to you), is what has been determined to be the the ruling force. Keep an eye on insp’s e-commerce income stream as a SI health barometer.

My WAG would be that the site gets fewer than 4k posts per day I didn't realize that I was reading that large of a fraction of SI's posts (maybe 1/12th if your numbers are right). Tim

Thanks, Bob, for your candor and articulate response. A follow-up Q if I may... Would you take an educated guess as to how an "opps, SI is history" scenario might unfold? Like is it likely we'll get on one morning and find a canned message and no access? find a canned message and 3 days notice? find a ???? (you fill in the blanks with your educated scenario...)
