Carl I was raised Catholic but I no longer believe in any sort of diety(haven't for many years). I also have grown a very cynical view of religion in general. I see it leading to more problems than good(look at all the wars/terroristic events based on religion). As for christianity, it is full of hypocrosiy itself. example- Why do people need to be converted? What makes christianity so much better and more correct than other religions? etc.. etc... Why should religion be treated as a commodity that needs to be exported throughout the world? let people believe in what they wish. A society can live by a set of morals w/out needing religion to tell them what is right or wrong.

It might be a stretch to say christianity is to blame for 9/11 but I can see how one can make that conclusion. If you factored out religion of the equation (our support of Israel, fundamentalism, etc..) I still think part of the event could be blamed on our desire to ram our view of capitalism down the throats of everyone worldwide. What better capitalism target is there? Not everyone thinks that America should rule the world.

Hope some of this makes sense.. I threw all my thoughts together rather fast. None of this is meant to offend anyone. I don't have a problem with anyone's religious beliefs as long as it is within the acceptable realm of society (i.e. no human sacrifices <g>)

<Would you agree with him that christianity is to blame for the events of 9/11?> who exactly is him?? and what is christianity? If you mean the Falwell fanatics that say ONLY those that accept Jesus as their savoir are saved,or rather do you mean rational and tolerant christianity??
Any group anywhere that militantly howl they have possession of an exclusionary truth(and to not belong to it is to be an infidel and damned blah blah) be they moslem/christian/catholic/protestant/judaic/hindu/maoist/and on and on,be know different than any lunatic militant cult of some bizarre cult.
The prime guilt in the case of 9/11 generated absolutely from Al Queda, they INITIATED acts of violent horror in the name of G-d--the blame is wholly theirs;however history ,is abundant in examples of militant fanatic factions of ALL religions being guilty of such crimes.
Read the writings of Richard Wagner(that provided much of the content for Mein Kampf) and one can clearly see that the underlying principle of Nazism was religious fanaticism rooted in thoughts of a lunatic "christian"--Richard Wagner). Max
