AD,

Just wanted to say thanks for posting your short-term trading in realtime. They gave me great insight into how a daytrader/scalper operates. You were also most gracious in responding to questions about your thought process and reasoning behind particular trades. IMHO the benefit outweighed any burden for those folks who may have viewed these posts as a slight annoyance.

There are many on Wall Street and on this thread who do not believe it is possible to "time the market". I think you have proved them wrong -- at least this time! <g>

I would be most interested in any comments you might wish to make about your trading style: how long you have been daytrading and how your results may have changed over the years; whether you began by papertrading or taking extremely small positions; whether and how your trading style may have evolved; whether you have noticed much of a "learning curve" and where you think you might be on the curve; lessons you have learned (especially the expensive ones); how you monitor and measure your performance; what rules you abide by, and what exceptions there are to these rules, etc.; how you evaluate the suitability of a particular trading vehicle (such as AMAT common stock); what extent SI may be a help or hindrance in your trading; and any tips or warnings you may care to mention for others who may be interested in a similar style of trading.

Again, thanks for your patience and commitment to transparency.

Cheers,

Sam Citron

AD, again, your real time posts were VERY insightful to me and I appreciate them very much. My only comment is that you stated this week you were "on vacation"...FROM WHAT? If you can make this kind of money...OK, even HALF of this, assuming you have unsuccessful positions from time to time, what the hell are you doing WORKING in a REAL JOB?
