Revenue for AMD isn't news worthy? I would have to disagree with you on that.

There are many reason's for INTC not to want AMD to increase revenue and/or have to play them as well.

Wanna: What are the royalties for Hypertransport? At one point on the Mod Thread, some people made it sound like AMD was giving it away for free.

At one point, that was exactly what AMD was saying. More recently, however, AMD have stated that there will be some royalty, but likely very small. If the royalties become Rambus-like, companies are going to jump the HT ship as quickly as they have come aboard.

Besides, what does that have to do with the "ultimate embarrassment" for Intel?

I consider it more of an irony than an embarrassment. Why? Where were you when Intel was criticizing HyperTransport, condemning it publicly?
