Even if you're right, it doesn't matter. Intel will have the technology when they need it, which isn't now. Right now, without copper, Intel is still able to reach 2.0GHz with the Pentium 4. Next year, without SOI, they plan to reach 3.0GHz. Maybe .09u will have SOI, or maybe it won't. Do you seriously think it will impact them?

I say they should let AMD use 1st generation SOI first, and experience all the bugs. Then Intel really can learn from AMD; they will be learning what not to do. ;-)
