The single issue with PPro was understood and only resulted from believing in Microsoft's guidance about where their code base would be when PPro was released.

P4, on the other hand, is basically nothing but glitches...

Pipeline too long, L1 too small, execution unit has to be run at 2X speed to yield 0.75X performance, die too big, cache associativity too low, instruction trace cache runs only half speed...
