Well, the sooner you send in your check, the sooner those lobbyists will see a "balance".. in their bank accounts... :0)

As for participating on your thread, I'm almost afraid to do so since I feel the emotions run even higher over there, than they do here... :0)

But that said, there's certainly an issue since many US corporations have been seeing their access to public lands diminish due to the environmentalist lobbying against the US timber industry. And then they feel they are getting double-whammied by the Canadian government essentially giving away their nation's forestry resources to Canadian timber corporations, under-pricing competing US timber corporations and denying Canadian taxpayers an important source of revenue.

This is NOT a recent issue. It dates back the Carter administration. So for it to have carried on so long, there must be logic behind the US position.

Yellow pine? Huh? Is this an issue someplace? You sound so outraged about it. I live in Oregon and haven't even heard it mentioned.
