I support the tribunals for the same reason. I can appreciate the downside, though. It seems like there ought to be a way to jigger either the civil or military court system to protect against divulging classified info, protect juries, and protect us against lawyers who are not acting if good faith as officers of the court.

I just had a wild idea. We try them by tribunal but dispense with the death penalty, then let them appeal to a civil court later when the crisis is over. That might satisfy everybody. Even X said that she'd be OK with postponing trials until such time as they could be safely held. This way we only delay access to civil courts to those who are found guilty by the tribunal.

Wasn't the national security aspects of that trial kept secret?
