Agreed that AOL and AMZN are not analogous, but for old times' sake today, it was fun to ride the AMZN train for a 30+% move since Thursday (I'm out a bit early this morning). That would be analogous to a move from 300 to 390 in the halcyon Blodget days. Deja vu all over again <G>

It certain ways they are. As businesses, no. But as companies whose investment stories are highly visible, yes. As companies that generated much ill will from either customers, investors, or both, yes.

But if your point is that AMZN's future will bear no resemblance to the path taken by AOL, I agree. AOL wasn't, I believe, so many years in the red.
