Bill, GST's misuse of the term "channel stuffing" does not invalidate his argument that the auto makers are simply borrowing from future sales (and profits) by too aggressively discounting now. Why don't you try refuting that argument instead of nit-picking over marketing lingo?

While you're at it, can you explain to me why a stock would go up 30+% with analysts telling us its core business is suffering from declining revenues (we already know their margins suck, so somehow I doubt they're going to make it up on margin)? Is this just another case of "Mr. Market knows and we shouldn't argue with him"?
