The problem: who would replace Hussein? What kind of government would Iraq put in place.
Rummy made it clear in a recent speech that the Afghans wouldn't put up with an American
prescence in their country so the US wouldn't keep troops there.

I've read and heard on tv that the folks who live in Iraq are very hostile to the US for the embargo. They blame
the US because they have sick children and no medicine to give to them. If the US bombs Iraq,
I'm not sure the people who live in Iraq and other Muslim countries will support the US attacks.

Also, Iraq's army is more sophisticated than the Taliban who tend to lean on Allah when things aren't going well.
They believe Allah will provide for them.
