Let's just hope that after twenty plus years of war, there is a critical mass of people who are tired of it and willing to do whatever it takes to end it. People can learn from their mistakes, although it is surprising how resistant people sometimes are to doing so. At least they don't have the indifference of the rest of the world to handicap their efforts this time around.

I think tribalism is a world problem. Every tribe wants autonomy and yet the tribal areas are not large enough to support a viable economy. You can see this in Iraq, Africa, South America, the US, etc.
