Jim Cash: My guess is that the turnips will eventually be right, but not for the next several months. I do not think we will retest the lows or have significant declines in December or January. However, if earnings warnings in March 2002 suggest that: (1) Economic recovery will not occur until late 2002 or early 2003, and/or (2) growth rate for tech stocks after economic recovery will be somewhat anemic, not reflective current rich valuations, then we will indeed have a sharp selloff sometime between March 1st and July. Just my opinion.

Given enough time the turnips will be right but the targets will be adjusted and those that bought or sold early will be gored.

I think you mean those that bought late or shorted early will be gored.
