These are Foster MPs, which have been on the roadmap for a long time, and delayed. MP meant they were intended for 4 way and up servers, which need large cache. As you say, they're not PIIIs because of the speed.

Foster is released and supported for workstations now. These can not be Fosters. That's the problem. If there is a large cache Foster with L3 it hasn't been discussed by Intel. That was my point.
