Still leaving here in England as a temporary resident. Official residency is Maryland. I'm scheduled to return to the States in a little less than two years but I'd very much like to extend. Permanent residency wouldn't be an idea that I would be adverse to.

I live in the North of England and think it's a great place to be. The people here are fantastic. Two cultural differences that stick out in my mind between the two countries. The British have more of an emphasis on life outside of work and I think there is a lot less anger here than the US has. I find many Americans are just plain angry about something or another and it drives their lives....and the lives of people around them. But there are hard choices at times...I've got to plan a January holiday, should it be Barcelona, the Greek Islands, Costa del sol, or Rome?

Cheers,
