RE: There are good reasons to give the parents time to examine the newborn before deciding if it should be killed, I think that "murdered" is a much more appropriate term that "killed". A newborn baby is the very essence of human innocence. I shudder when "ethical discussions" center around the killing of the most innocent and helpless members of our society. It does help to illustrate, however, that as civilized as we like to consider ourselves, we are really not that far removed from the Nazis or Khmer Rouge.
