That's a good policy - one which very few people follow - until its too late.

As for premium hard disks, IBM was considered the PREMO suppliers - and I used them exclusively - until recently.

There were rumours about failing IBM 307xxx drives (also known as 75GX series) on the "net" for about a year - and I own two of them.

About 3 months ago, I started getting read errors on one of them....
