<I can see the case for affirmative action for both African-Americans and Native Americans in the US due to their clear past oppression>

I heard that slavery and oppression ended in the USA quite a few years ago now and anyone who is now getting affirmative action could not reasonably be claimed to be suffering or to have suffered oppression by law. Women have had the vote for longer than nearly all of them have been alive. Native Americans have special rights in their own territories as well as claims on US citizenship = best of both worlds and they get bonus payments too.

For how many centuries will the 19th century slavery and early 20th century segregation be a meal ticket for those lucky enough to claim the right ancestry and thereby be allowed to enslave the latest generation of taxpayers whose ancestors had nothing to do with slavery?http://www.jewishworldreview.com/cols/sowell080801.asp
